To be able to sit in solitude with oneself and be comfortable with your own thoughts is a simple thing that many have and continue to struggle with. The relevance and necessity of self-care and self-love is an ongoing topic amongst black woman as it is a much-needed outlet in terms of healing. Black woman no longer have to solely rely on strength alone to heal themselves. We have begun to create spaces and platforms to share, engage and reflect with one other on the daily personal and social struggles we endure; be it mental, emotional or physical.
In this life nothing is promised to you but yourself. Love yourself hard and freely. You are light, you are love.
